Shabbatt Service - Jazz with Richard Fenno & Friends
Songwriting in the first half of the last century was dominated by the sons of Jewish immigrants, such as Irving Berlin, Ira and George Gershwin and Jerome Kern. Richard Fenno, the son of a jazz composer, arranger and drummer, who has toured with the Stan Kenton Orchestra and the Glenn Miller Band, and Marilyn Rucker, author and composer, and other talented musicians, will celebrate the contributions of these talented composers. The first set will include songs from Jewish composers and the second set will consist of big band tunes, and, if you wish, feel free to dance during the performance.
